TOTW 82
How to Network Tip of the Week #82 - 16th April 2009
===========================================================
Welcome to the eighty second www.howtonetwork.net tip of
the week.
===========================================================
Super busy week this week, even for me. The BSCI is now
back on track. The theory should be done in a few short
weeks but before that we are releasing a brand new book
which you will find essential for CCNA exam success and
life as a Cisco engineer. '101 Cisco CCNA Labs' is going
to make you hit the labs really hard. By the end of that
book you are going to be well past CCNA level and on the
way to CCNP.
As you are reading this I am in an internet marketing
workshop in Portsmouth NH, USA. I hope I am having a good
time.
===========================================================
Members Passing
Well done to Mohan Lakshminarayana who passed his CCNA
this week.
Same to Bhanu Sateesh who just passed his CCNA and is now
going to do his CCNP.

Would You Like to be a Cisco Trainer?
As promised last week. We have started to organize taking
the Cisco training model we use in the UK out to the USA,
Canada and Australia.
I'm sure you are wondering if it is right for you, are you
up to it, how will it work etc? At the moment, all you
need to think about is 1. Do you enjoy Cisco networking
and 2. Do you enjoy helping others?
If yes then please check out the below page for more
info. There is a form at the bottom so you can join
the list to receive more details as they are ready:

The Best Things In Life Are Tree.
Well I can't use the correct word as it gets filtered out
but it begins with an F not a T.
I want to say that I appreciate you being on this list
and taking the time out to listen to my ramblings. So
as a thank you please download this complementary CCNA
exam. It isn't big but these are the type of questions
you will get caught out on in the actual exam.
I hope you enjoy the exam:

Router Simulators
Do you use them?
I am going to do a review of router sims soon and would
love to hear your comments.
Which one do you use?
How much was it?
What is good about it?
What don't you like?
Does it do all the CCNA stuff you need?
I will also be filming some videos on how you can use
the exciting new features of Dynamips.

Reminders
A gentle reminder for all members.
When you set your rack account up you need to drop us an
e-mail to tell us. The 10 hours are not magically added.
Please also keep your local time changes up to date. You
need to do this manually.

What to Do If You Fail Your Exam
Almost everyone on the site passes first time. I do accept
that sometimes it takes a second crack at the exam in
order to pass. I had to take it twice in fact and I had
studied very hard indeed.
Here are a few tips if you are not successful the first
time round:
