Module 9 - Troubleshooting The Network

Your phone rings and you hear the dreaded words that send a shiver down every network engineers spine. 'The network is down.' Why didn't you go on your lunch when you had the chance? Even worse, the boss is standing over your shoulder with your yearly performance related pay review.

Luckily you have a methodical troublshooting plan in your head and the network is up and running again in a few minutes leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the lunch your boss is about to buy you for saving his company from financial ruin.

Most engineers struggle to resolve network issues purely because they have no plan. They sit there randomly pinging devices on the network praying that somehow the ping will magically bring the network back to life. By the end of this module you will have a troubleshooting plan to work to which will benefit you if you get a troubleshooting problem in the CCNA exam or in the real world.
