Welcome to the sixty-seventh www.howtonetwork.net tip of
the week.

Last Tip of 2008
Hi
This is the last tip I will be sending out for 2008 and it
contains some very important information.
Firstly – a huge congratulations to the 173 students who
have passed their Cisco CCNA and CCENT during 2008. Your
hard work paid off and now you are all enjoying the
rewards of being a fully fledged Cisco certified engineer.
The latest one was Eugene Botha who sums up the hard work
ethic I have seen in many members:
‘Hi Paul,
Just to let you know, I passed my CCNA at my first attempt
on Day 70 of 60 days to CCNA with a score of 918 –
10/12/2008. I would like to take this opportunity to thank
you once again for all the assistance you provided with the
60 days to CCNA. The direction that was provided by yourself
was the required impetus I needed, and the fact that you
personally took the time to set this up and even guarantee
that I’d pass my exam is AWESOME.
Thank you, thank you & thank you again for all the amazing
material that you have put together to assist people like
myself in reaching for the stars and making a success of our
lives. You are truly a gift to people and making a major
difference in many peoples lives around the world.
I completed the test in 1 hr 12 minutes and I even left
out 4 questions in one of the simlets, shux, if I had done
it I definitely would have achieved way more 🙂 however,
it may also have been a blessing in disguise in allowing me
to complete the exam.
Thank you once again.
Regards
Eugene Botha Jr. – Cisco Certified Network Associate

One Thousand Dollar Challenge
I have just launched a competition for anyone who wants to
pass their CCNA by the end of Jan 2009. I will pay the
winner of the competition one thousand bucks out of my
own pocket.
Here is the page with more info:

Live Rack Update
The live rack is now open to the public so you can use
the kit without having to be a member.
Hopefully the rack lessons plus the content on the live
rack web site is pretty clear but I still have students
asking me why their account isn’t set up or why, if they
have signed up as a non member on the racks their account
has no credits.
I no longer answer these e-mails because I make it
painfully clear how to get set up on the sites. Please
take time to watch the videos and then fill in the
agreement and then your rack account will be set up.
The live rack is here:

New Cisco Discussion Forum
We have launched a cool Cisco discussion forum on my
Cisco training company web site. We would love to see you
on the forum which is moderated by myself and another
Cisco consultant Stuart Juggins who is my CEO.

CCNP Content
We are still writing the CCNP BSCI content and it should
be on the site at the end of December with more being
added early in Jan 2009.

Struggling With Your Studies?
If you are then I have written an article especially for
you:

===========================================================
I also want to wish you and your loved ones a happy and
peaceful Christmas and an amazing 2009. You may be broke
at the moment and the outlook may be bleak for many of you
but you have your health and your brain and with that I
believe you can achieve almost anything.
Lots of Love
Paul Browning
