How to Network Tip of the Week #59 – 22nd October 2008
===========================================================
Welcome to the fifty ninth www.howtonetwork.net tip of
the week.
I was woken up at 04:50 this morning by the chattering of
my 3 month old daughter, Grace. She wakes up and starts
a little conversation with herself in baby talk. After
some milk and a play on her play mat she is now asleep on
her rocker.
I’m so glad I work from home and can be here to see her
grow.
Anyways…onto Cisco certification updates and news.

More Students Passing
Congrats to Antonio Campo who passed with a very healthy
941. Antonio said:
‘Yes it did happen, after lots of hard work, whooohooo.
Many thanks to Paul for putting these wonderful resources
together and providing such a quality service to all ccna
wannabees.
I took Paul’s advice from his material to go ahead and book
the exam. I then preceded to plough every ounce of focus and
energy into preparation before that date.
I pushed it back a couple of times because I didn’t feel
“ready”, but the funny thing is that I only felt ready when
I actually decided not to push it back again, just throw
myself into it and trust that I would be ready, and hey
presto.’
Well done to Duncan Napier who passed with 930 even though
he ran out of time in the exam and missed 2 questions! He
said:
‘A big thank you to Paul for having this site. I spent the
last 9 months doing the Cisco Networking Academy CCNA
Exploration via the Open University. It gave me a good
grounding but I would say that it was howtonetwork.net
that really convinced me that I had sufficient knowledge
to tackle the CCNA 640-802.
Maybe it was the cram guide, or the question of the day
or even the tip of the week that gave me confidence.’
Duncan tells you how he passed on the discussion forum:
Who else is going to pass their CCNA and launch into a
career in IT?

Working with the Network Academy
We are meeting with some Cisco Networking Academy leaders
next week to chat over how we can help you with your
studies. Either with hands on boot camps or via the
web site.
If you are on the network academy programme please drop me
a line as I think a bit of pressure on the various leaders
will help give you the boost you need to get through your
exams.
