How to Network Tip of the Week #50 – 20th August 2008
===========================================================
Welcome to the fiftieth www.howtonetwork.net tip of
the week.

Cisco CCNA and CCENT Cram Cards Added
I don’t know about you but drilling facts and figures
over and over again is the best way to get all the
important details into your memory so you can recall
them in the exam or whilst on customer site.
For this reason you can now benefit from exclusive CCNA
and CCENT cram cards. Each deck is tailored to a specific
exam area such as IP addressing or wireless. We are
writing more decks as you read this but for now there
are four for you to benefit from or just one deck if you
are not a member yet.
Please visit the below page and watch the video showing
you how the software works. As per usual, any feedback
is most welcome.
===========================================================
Live Cisco Rack
I keep getting e-mails from members asking for their
username and password for the rack. Once again – you are
allocated your rack once you have completed the 7 short
lessons and filled in the user agreement. Until that time
you don’t have access, even if you are a member.
===========================================================
Cisco Challenge Labs
You asked for some challenge labs so you can have them!
We have started adding challenge labs. They are free to
use but the solutions will only be available to members. I
suggest you use them once you have built up some confidence
on the standard labs on the site.
We will be building the list of labs over the next week
so please send any requests to us at help@howtonetwork.net
===========================================================
Pass Your CCNA in 60 Days
I am in the process of writing a 60 day Cisco CCNA study
plan and along with it I will be issuing a challenge. The
course will be open to members and non members and will
be free.
If you follow my study plan and advice, you will pass your
CCNA 60 days after having started it (so it isn’t just a
clever name).
It should be ready to go in September.
===========================================================
Cisco Exam Syllabuses
We have added clickable Cisco syllabuses to the site. This
means you can follow your study time in line with how
Cisco are going to structure your exam questions.
I have noticed that there are a couple of areas which
they appear to have left vague and there are a few other
areas which we don’t have labs for (such as RSTP+). I
really don’t think you would ever be asked to configure
some of the stuff they are asking for in the exam but we
will endeavour to add more content nonetheless.
