Welcome to the sixty-second www.howtonetwork.net tip of
the week.

More Students Passing
Congrats to the below students who passed their exams last
week:
Amratal – CCNA
Vijay Ramraj – CCNA
Robert Longdon – CCNA
Issa Kassambara – CCENT
We want to hear from anyone else who as gotten through
their exams. If you can send over a photo with your news
that would be great.

mp3 format. You can download it at the download centre
and happily listen to it whilst driving, on the train or
enjoying your morning workout.

New YouTube Video
I have added a new video. This time on the very useful
‘config-register’ command. We will be releasing a lot more

Route Summarization Tutorial
You may well be drilled about route summarization in the
CCENT or CCNA exams. Make sure you can easily and quickly
answer those questions in the exam with my brand new
tutorial:

Private Coaching
There is now only 1 place left on my private coaching
programme. While others want to ‘think about it,’ the ones
who have stared have all booked their exams for 5 weeks
time, have their study manuals, 7 hours of CCNA videos in
their box set and 100 hours of rack time. Oh, and also
private coaching from me every week plus e-mail support.
If you want the last seat please click on the below link.
I do not have time for any others after this last seat
until well into the New Year but by then, I will probably
be busy adding all the new CCNP content.
By the way, there is very little in it for me to offer the
coaching. I just about cover my costs but that is it. As
you know, I am developing many other projects for 2009 so
coaching is something I do to help people who are really
serious about passing their CCNA this year and want
somebody to support and encourage them through.

Cisco SDM Simulator
Thanks to James Carroll, one of our most active students
who found a great SDM emulator which you can download
and use for no charge at all. And it is supplied by Cisco
themselves so you can be sure the quality and features
will be great.
This is a great way to get some SDM hands on experience
for your CCNA exam.

CCNA Boot Camps in Edinburgh
We have a couple of seats left for our weekend Cisco boot
camp in the beautiful city of Edinburgh on 13-14 December.
If you can’t make it then why not join us in South London,
North London, Reading, Birmingham, Manchester or Milton
Keynes? Here is a show reel for you to see what you have in
store during the course:

Leaving howtonetwork.net
A couple of people have left the site telling me that now
times are getting harder they have to cut back on costs!
I’m afraid that seems like insanity to me. It is a measly
$9.97 per month and after you pass you will be a very
valuable resource to any company or can go out and do
some freelance work getting a support contract with one of
the millions of companies who use Cisco equipment but don’t
want a full time IT support person.
It is now more crucial than ever that you redouble your
study efforts, get qualified and secure your financial
position. Leaving the site and waiting years for the
economy to turn round is in my humble opinion a very
unwise course of action.
Here is how to beat the credit crunch with your CCNA:

New CCNA Cram Guide Out
I have made some changes to my famous Cisco CCNA cram
guide. There is a new audio version available as well
featuring the changes. The latest version is now 2.2 and
I have taken out some older info and added NAT and
corrected a few minor errors.
Any comments or suggestions for the next version is very
welcome.

New Challenge Labs
Now there is no excuse for failing your CCNA or CCENT.
There are two new videos and configs uploaded to the
challenge labs page. PPP and CDP labs, both of which are
good candidates for your CCNA exam.
